100 Reasons Why I Love Matt Sturniolo

Image
I know, it’s cheesy and corny. Yet you still clicked on it. Who’s Matthew Sturniolo, you may ask? Matthew Sturniolo, also nicknamed Matt, is an internet personality who is one of the triplet brothers, most famous on YouTube called the Sturniolo Triplets. His handsome looks and appearance may have attracted me, but his heart and soul are what made me stay. Without him, I’m not sure where I’d be in life. He is one of my biggest inspirations and one of the people that I admire the most. Anyways, enough of the sweet talk. (P.S., there will be more towards the end.) Let’s get started! #1 : His willingness to face difficulty in life View this post on Instagram A post shared by eve ౨ৎ🦌 (@eveslxvers) “But we missed the bigger picture, Chris. Our perseverance in tomorrow going wrong is going to help us with everything in the future of the tour!” It may seem unserious from the context, but like Matt says to Chris, the youngest triplet, we missed the bigger picture. He is no...

Please Wear Sunscreen

Image
I usually don't get sunburned after hanging out at the beach. So I don't mind a little tanning then and there, it's actually quite relaxing to get a tan. But all the sun exposure will eventually catch up to you.  A week ago, I came back home with peeling skin and a burning sensation. Even if you don't get burned, applying sunscreen is a must, and this is coming from someone who hates applying it.  But why sunscreen? Why stay away from the sun once in a while? #1: Sunscreen protects your skin from damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) rays The sun releases UV radiation, which can go through your skin and cause those stupid sunburns. Sunscreen, however, absorbs the radiation caused by UV, preventing it from entering our skin barrier. No sunscreen can fully block the radiation, but it allows you to enjoy the sun before there's any serious reddening on your skin. ( Sunscreens: Protect Your Skin, 2025). According to the University of Rochester Medical Center , you should app...

10 Statements That Help Me Navigate Through Life

Image
Life is not always fun. It can get tough. It's real. We all have it. We have bad days. We can make bad decisions and be horrible people, even if it hurts to admit it. But sometimes there's hope.  And for me, it's these statements that do: #1: "Choose quality over quantity." This can apply to many aspects of our lives. Friends, food, books, your Instagram posts. Basically, it's better to have a few real friends than to have a lot of friends that are all fake. What about the time, effort, and energy you put into carefully choosing three of the twenty selfies you took to post for Instagram? Exactly.  #2: "Don't compare yourself to others." This one is cliché, but it's very true. To be inspired or motivated by someone else's success is one thing, but calling yourself not good enough because of someone else's success is entirely wrong. People you compare yourself to are not the picture-perfect version you have in your head. Everyone has th...

Coloring is Therapy

Image
Coloring Shopkins in a book can help you destress. Okay, not literally. It doesn't have to be Shopkins, though the thought of it is nostalgic to me. It can also be an adult coloring book that includes nature, animals, or random daily-life objects.  I hadn't realized it before, but coloring is therapeutic for everyone of all age groups. Personally, I loved coloring books that had Shopkins (duh), Hello-Kitty, and My Little Pony. Nowadays, as a teenager, my typical coloring books are cats, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe (which is a specific coloring book inspired by the romance book by Laurie Gilmore), and flowers.  Here are 6 reasons why coloring is therapy: #1 : Coloring relaxes the brain Coloring calms the amygdala, which is the part of our brain that triggers fear and stress response. It also uplifts other parts of the brain that relate to creativity and logic. (Brown, 2018).  So when we color, it actually improves both the left and right sides of the brain, as logic lies on the...

My August 2025 Romance Reads

Image
For me, there's nothing better than a roller coaster of swooning romance book adventures over the summer. Whether I'm at the beach, in bed, or on vacation, I enjoy a good romance read.  #1: Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi View this post on Instagram A post shared by Books Turner (@books__turner) The whole BookTok community (including me) swoons over Aaron Warner, who is the main male character of the series. With his charming looks, blazing green eyes, luscious gold blonde hair, and intimidating demeanor, he is the perfect blend of sexiness and overprotectiveness.  The BookTok community may disagree on a lot of opinions, but they collectively love Aaron Warner. We can also all agree that Kenji Kishimoto is the funniest character and that James is adorable. #2: Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter View this post on Instagram A post shared by audrielles_library_ (@audrielles_library_) Wes Bennett's famous "She. Isn't. You...
